Who Needs a Nevada Fishing License?
In Nevada, anyone 12 years of age or older must have a valid fishing license to fish in the state’s waters. This requirement applies to both residents and non-residents. Children under 12 can fish without a license but must be accompanied by a licensed adult and are subject to reduced catch limits.

Free Fishing Day in Nevada
Nevada offers one Free Fishing Day each year, typically in June. On this day, anglers can fish without a license, but all other regulations still apply. In 2024, Free Fishing Day is on June 8th.
